Growing with Purpose: Academic Excellence and Innovation at CCA
At Community Christian Academy (CCA), growth is never about numbers alone, it is about purpose. As we reflect on where God has brought us and look ahead to where He is leading, we are grateful for the steady progress our school continues to make in academic excellence, student support, and innovative programming. Every step forward is guided by prayer, intentional planning, and a commitment to glorify Christ through education.
Scripture reminds us, “Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it” (Psalm 127:1, KJV). With this truth as our foundation, CCA’s growth has been both thoughtful and mission-driven.
Strengthening Academic Excellence
Over the past year, CCA has made significant investments in strengthening our academic programs to better serve students at every level. The adoption of new curriculum across multiple grade levels has allowed us to align instruction more closely with rigorous academic standards while maintaining a biblical worldview. This curriculum provides clearer learning progressions, stronger assessment tools, and more opportunities for differentiated instruction.
To further support student success, we have expanded academic skills courses for middle school students, offering targeted instruction in organization, study habits, reading comprehension, and foundational academic skills. These courses help ensure that students are not only keeping pace but are equipped with the tools they need to thrive as learners.
In addition, through daily instruction, following our continued mission, we are successful meeting students where they are academically, while still challenging them to grow. As Proverbs 22:6 instructs us, “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” At CCA, training includes both academic rigor and spiritual formation.
Expanding Student Support and Guidance
Recognizing that every student’s journey is unique, CCA has strengthened its focus on individualized academic planning. Our long-term vision includes ensuring that every student in grades 6–12 has a clearly defined graduation plan that reflects both college and career readiness.
This includes increased access to dual enrollment opportunities, virtual coursework, standardized test preparation (SAT, ACT, ASVAB), and work-based learning experiences. These options empower students to explore their God-given gifts while preparing for life beyond high school.
Our teachers, Academic Advisor, and Administration work closely with students and families to ensure academic decisions are made with wisdom, care, and prayer.
Innovating for the Future
Innovation at CCA is guided by our long-term goals and our commitment to stewardship. As enrollment grows and programs expand, we continue to evaluate facilities, instructional methods, and professional development to ensure sustainability and excellence.
Teachers play a vital role in this process. By engaging in curriculum review, professional learning, and collaborative planning, our faculty remains at the heart of school improvement. Ecclesiastes 4:9 reminds us, “Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour.” Collaboration among educators strengthens instruction and enriches the student experience.
A Community Rooted in Faith
None of this growth would be possible without the partnership of our families, Trinity Baptist Ministries, and the broader community. Your prayers, trust, and support allow CCA to remain faithful to its mission while boldly pursuing excellence.
As we move forward, we do so with confidence in God’s promises: “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ” (Philippians 1:6, KJV). We are excited for what lies ahead and committed to continuing the work God has entrusted to us.
Thank you for walking alongside us as we grow with purpose, serve with excellence, and innovate for the future, always for His glory.

Impacting the Lives of Children
“…so they can grow up not having to get it all wrong before they can get it right.”
As I was reading my devotion this morning, that sentence stopped me. It made me think. It made me ask myself, “Am I doing this?”
Proverbs 22:6 came to mind:
“Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.”
That verse led me to some honest reflection. Am I showing the children in my life how to use God’s Word to guide their steps, their decisions, and their actions? Am I actively teaching them how to turn to Scripture—or am I leaving them to figure things out the hard way?
Hard lessons are sometimes unavoidable, but not everything has to be hard. Ephesians 6:4 reminds us:
“And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord.”
As adults with children in our lives—whether in our families, workplaces, neighborhoods, or churches—we carry influence. The question is: Are we using it well? Are we impacting the lives of children in a way that helps them avoid mistakes we wish someone had warned us about? Are we helping them grow in wisdom before pain becomes their teacher?

Life
The year 2024 had some trials. We went through so much, especially at the end of the year! Trials are not what we want to go through. Lord, let me learn my lesson without trials. Let me grow without any hurt.
Trials are tough; some are even gut-wrenching. As you look through the Bible to find verses to help you through these times, James 1: 2-3 are not the ones that come to our minds quickly!
2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters,[a] whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.
Pure joy…You have got to be kidding! Family, school, work, co-workers, family members, homework, projects, tests, sickness, weather, doubts, fears, uncertainties, and the list goes on and on and on. Where is the joy in any of this?! How am I supposed to find joy in all of this unhappiness, in all of this chaos. Now, I have a headache and a stomach ache.
But…
If we weren’t going through trials and tribulations, would we be growing? If we weren’t going through hard/trying times, would we increase our faith? If we weren’t on our knees seeking God and His guidance, would Satan be after us? If we weren’t reading our Bibles, would Satan try so hard to keep us down?
As parents, we want to protect our children. We do not want them to suffer any pain, or to hurt in any way. As parents, we know the craziness of the world. Sadly, we also know we can’t protect them 24/7 all of their days. As a parent, it is hard. As a grandparent, it is hard. Many children are learning too much about the world before they need to know anything about it. They have way too much information at their fingertips. They learn so much just from those they are around. They are sponges that soak it all in (good and bad).
Nowhere does the Bible say following Him is easy. Nowhere does Jesus say that following Him is as easy as walking (Please some of us can trip over air! Walking is hard! Watch someone trying to walk for the first time or after sitting for a long period of time.)
When we read the Bible, when we listen to His Words, to His guidance, He does not say this was easy for so-and-so. He writes about the hard times, the sad times, and the scary times. He does not hide anything.
He also writes about the good times, the happy times, and the learning times.
2024 is gone. No reliving it. No changing it.
2025 is beginning. 2025 is another year God has given us to “Consider it pure joy…” for following Him. For rising to the challenges of parenting and working. To live for Him. To teach our children to see what God has done and what He has said.
Your child is God’s child. Your child is the future.
In 2025, we are planting and watering those seeds God has given. We are preparing our students for what the world could throw at them. We are building their Christian worldview foundation. Parents and Grandparents, we are in this together. We are shaping the future. We are a team working to strengthen our students’ foundations in Christ so they can become Kingdom Leaders.
Only 5 Months Away!
It’s hard to believe that the semester is coming to a close, and we’re already just five months away from the Class of 2025 graduating! As the year progresses, we are filled with excitement and pride as we watch our students grow, both academically and personally. Their dedication, hard work, and perseverance continue to shine through, and we are eager to see what the rest of the year holds.
Our sports teams are also in full swing this winter. Basketball season is underway, and our athletes are showing their commitment and skill on the court. Additionally, we are thrilled to celebrate the success of our Clay Target team, who recently earned second place in the state tournament for GAPPS. This outstanding achievement is a testament to their hard work and teamwork, and they will continue to compete in the SCISA Clay Target season, where we look forward to more success.
As we move into the coming months, we are excited about the changes and opportunities that await our students, both in and out of the classroom. Their growth has been remarkable, and we can’t wait to see what they accomplish in the next chapter of the school year. Here's to a strong finish and a bright future ahead! #CCAAmbassadors!!
